In 1987, moved by the plight of Leukaemia sufferers, a handful of City professionals held a fundraising dinner at The Savoy based around their mutual love of horse racing. The racing dinner proved so successful that it has become an annual event every October – hence The October Club. Whilst the format of the dinner has evolved over the years, The October Club’s singular mission to foster groundbreaking UK charities remains unchanged.
To date, we have raised over £17 million for our carefully chosen charities, funding a range of transformational projects that catapult the charities to the next level of impact – raising profiles and facilitating brave expansion plans. Our ultimate goal is to partner with innovative charities on their path to long-term results and sustainability.
The October Club Dinner annually gathers 350+ philanthropically-minded City professionals, with stalwart support from remarkable sponsors and donors across a broad spectrum of financial institutions.
Held on the 2nd Wednesday of every October, this year’s dinner was on Wednesday 8th October at The Savoy.
